Dr. Ibrahim didn’t take the standard route to become a board-certified orthodontist. She actually did her undergraduate studies in bioengineering. Yet, she quickly decided she wanted to enter the field of dentistry. Therefore, she went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and her Advanced Combined Prosthodontics Certificate from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Upon graduating, she practiced prosthetic, implant, aesthetic and restorative dentistry and treated adults with a variety of complex dental needs for nearly 10 years. She was also a consultant at a globally recognized dental company, Bisco, Inc., where she conducted national and international lectures.
In the early 2000s, Dr. Ibrahim headed back to school once more for specialty training at New York University College of Dentistry where she received her Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Certificate. Now, she’s a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and dedicates her time to the practice of orthodontics as the owner of Innovative Orthodontic Centers in Naperville and Shorewood.
